Raysport are proud to announce their new GR11
Apart from numerous improvements, this car represents an adaptability for various engines for numerous series worldwide.
For the next evolution of the Ray Chassis the GR11 features more than 30 important updates when compared with the Ray which kept Scott Malvern in title contention all the way to the final round of the UK championship in 2010.
Gavin Ray says: "The GR11 features many enhancements which we have wanted to include for several seasons but have not been able to. They have all come together brilliantly and I am hopeful that it will be a major step forward. Last year was one of Ray's most successful ever, with 11 championship victories in various categories, and we are hoping to build on that in 2011."
Among the GR11's many improvements are a higher and stiffer chassis, heavily revised bodywork including a lower and longer nose cone, lower and more narrow tail section, new sidepod ducting and airbox; revised weight distribution; and larger rear brakes.
Versatility and Adaptability The GR11 has been designed with a new bell housing with integrated oil tank, this bell housing also has the added facility via an internal adaptor plate to accommodate any 3 or 4 cylinder engine available (Ford,Toyota,Honda,Renault, etc) which will widen the market for the chassis. The GR11 is the most adaptable car we’ve ever built, We’ve had a lot of success in the UK but allowing the car to be used with different engines opens up a huge new market for us. The car could easily be run in American 1600 classes or even be fitted with bolt-on front and rear wings to be eligible for series like US F2000. We have very high hopes for the GR11, both in the UK and round the world. Hopefully it can help us spread the Ray name a bit further, as well as finding that extra edge in the British championship.
